Tawny Threads is headed up by creative duo Claudia Husband and Christopher Hagen of Grey Hand Press. We are both artists with backgrounds in printmaking and a love for textiles and fibre arts.
Our little textile studio focuses on a number of different areas, including print design, spun and hand-dyed fibres, and garment creation using knitting and nålbinding techniques. We run workshops throughout Brisbane and South East Queensland, and are always searching for new skills to learn and pass onto others. We love to share our knowledge, and are constantly on our own learning pathways!
If you are interested in any of the things we do, please get in touch with us.
The name Tawny Threads pays homage to Brisbane, Australia where the beautiful tawny frogmouth bird is a regular visitor to Queensland backyards.
